Asus P6T Deluxe - Intel X58 Begins
With all the kerfuffle surrounding Intel's IDF this week and Nehalem news pouring out of almost every crevice of the internet, Asus gave
bit-tech a quick wink and a nudge then slipped us a brown paper envelope...via a postman.
Trying not to act like a kid at Christmas and moving swiftly to a secluded corner, we ripped it open to find that Asus' P6T Deluxe is quite the pimped out hot potato. Based on Intel's upcoming X58 chipset it will have more features than you can shake a fist full of sticks at - overclockers and high end users especially will love this.
Among the included features are:
- Asus TurboV and O.C. Palm, which claims "the most precise overclocking adjustments" as well as including an Asus ScreenDuo Vista sideshow (that also features on the P5B Premium Vista Edition) device that doubles as an overclocking tool.
- 16+2 phase power regulation including Asus Six Engine and EPU
Between these two Asus has
another layer of branding called the "Super Hybrid Engine" where it refers to the P6T as having "Ultimate Durability, Ultimate (Power) Savings and Ultimate Performance". Needless to say that copious use of "super" and "ultimate" work well in marketing it seems.

Those with a keen eye for Asus brand names will also note that this is a T product - therefore no Nvidia (which are usually denoted by an N) NF200 on this one, but there will be on future Asus products launching shortly after this.
